Art Spectrum® Phthalo Green is an intense and powerful blue-green. Unlike many other greens which are produced with hints of yellow, Phthalo is produced from a single pigment. Incidentally, Phthalo is commonly used to create many other greens.
Phthalo gets its characteristic strength from its cousin, Phthalocyanine blue, from which the green is produced. It is an incredibly versatile pigment, offering the artist tremendous range in creating colours of great subtlety and power when needed.
It is, for this reason, the most popular green pigment used by artists today.
