Join us for a weekend of painting and let Alison, with her years of experience as a furniture painter, guide you through the process.
What a perfect way to revamp your home décor. Why throw out a perfectly good, well made and beautiful piece of furniture or your favourite home décor pieces, when you can simply change them. It is also much cheaper than replacing them with expensive and poorly made new furniture.
DAY 1 - materials and products - you will be completing a range of sample boards to progress from basic painting skills to more advanced techniques. Such as dry brushing, using glazes, patina waxes, texture, decoupage, and colour washes. You will also be painting an attractive little box as your very first project.
DAY 2 - Paint a small piece of furniture - this will see you further cementing these skills when you completely transform a small piece of furniture that you bring along. Suggested pieces would be a small bedside table, stool, chair or occasional table (basically something that you can carry in by yourself). No need to prep your piece beforehand, all preparation will be done on the day, but please make sure your piece is clean and structurally sound.
We recommend you pop onto Pinterest or similar and save images you like. If we have a clear idea of the look you are after, and colours in your home, it is much easier to guide you.
