Permanent Alizarine is a Series 4 transparent color. It has a masstone of a brownish red, with a vivid red pinkish undertone. Permanent Alizarine is a single pigment replacement for the “Traditional” pigment which was not lightfast. It produces attractive tints, which are softer than the pink tints with Quinac Magenta.
